The Thread That Connects Dreams
Share
The sounds of a Parisian morning echo as I prepare my coffee—my sacred ritual, my little religion! Everything seems simpler after the first sip. And if that morning is accompanied by a fresh croissant, there is that magical moment—a silent pause when anything seems possible. For me, that moment became Unni Atelier . At the time, I didn't realize it yet, but an invisible thread had already begun to weave its way into my life.
Every story begins with a thread—sometimes real, sometimes imagined. For me, it was both.
For years, I worked behind the scenes, telling other people's stories. I designed websites, led digital campaigns, and gave voice to brands. These projects were prestigious and complex, but none of them truly belonged to me. Starting my own business was a new challenge: wearing multiple hats and managing every aspect, from accounting to website maintenance to social security contributions.
Unni Atelier was born from a question. A question that crossed my mind during a trip to Mexico, where I have always been fascinated by Mexican crafts. These handcrafted pieces tell a story. Through their unique creations, the artisans transform simple materials like palm fronds and threads into true works of art. Their traditional craftsmanship is a reflection of Mexican culture and the country's cultural heritage.
And then I heard their silent question:
Who will tell our story to the world?
This question awakened a mission in me: to highlight this authentic craft and convey the emotions and cultural connections it embodies.
Before navigating the twists and turns of French bureaucracy or understanding import laws, I had already taken on the challenge of starting from scratch. Moving countries, learning a new language, and earning two Master's degrees taught me resilience. But creating Unni Atelier ? That was my Everest.
The days spent deciphering taxes and fine-tuning every detail were long. But behind this mountain of administrative tasks lay a greater goal: to make Unni Atelier more than just a boutique.
Unni Atelier is a bridge between two worlds: vibrant Mexican art and Parisian bohemian chic decor. Each piece, whether handmade objects or exclusive collections, is a celebration of ethical commitment and fair trade. We pay homage to the hands that shape these creations with love, ancestral know-how, and good vibes.
But above all, Unni Atelier embodies the philosophy of SLOW DECO : a bohemian-chic decorating approach that values sustainability, quality, and intentionality. Here, each object carries emotional value and tells a story—a connection between the past and the present.
After years of weaving this dream, thread by thread, Unni Atelier is finally here. It's a place where beauty meets meaning, where sustainable commitment blends with timeless elegance, and where you're invited to be part of a positive social impact.
Pull the thread with me. Let's discover together what it reveals.
Welcome to Unni Atelier .
